The objects of the Al Murakush Society are thus set forth in the
Society’s Constitution :—
Al Murakush Society has been founded in commemoration of the works of Noble Drew Ali, Chancellor Williams, Cheikh Anti Diop and Ivan Van Sertima as well as many others it is instituted for the purpose of investigating the usages, institutions, customs, religions, antiquities, history, and languages of the native Moors of America ; of facilitating the commercial and industrial development of the Moors native to America in the manner best fitted to secure the welfare of its members ; as a central institution in the United States for the study of Moorish subjects, the diffusion of knowledge relating to such subjects, and to do all such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the objects for which the Society is founded or any of them.
Our general Mission at Al Murakush Society is to provide American Born Moors with a communal society that is conducive for the spiritual, economic & political prosperity of our members. We at Al Murakush Society have many goals that we are striving to meet, however a large portion of our mission is largely dedicated to providing spiritual, civic, legal, political & economic education to Moors who are Native to America. Our overall mission is to enroll as many American Born Moors as possible into our programs & projects.
